Dota 2 is a multiplayer role-playing strategy game in the MOBA genre, in which players fight each other in teams of five, trying to destroy the main building at the enemy’s base. The project was developed and released by Valve on July 9, 2013, for PC on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
The game involves two teams of five people each. One group plays for the light side in the south of the map and the other for the dark side in the north. Each user controls only one hero. He gains experience per match, earns gold, unlocks new skills, and buys useful items. All resources are earned by destroying neutral and enemy monsters, as well as players from the enemy team. The main task is the destruction of the main building of the opponent’s base.
Dota 2 differs from its predecessor with a number of changes. The game has added reconnection, the ability to pause and join any unlocked game as a spectator, voice chat, and viewing information about the damage inflicted on the killed player. There is a division of players by geographical zones (now there are fourteen: Western and Eastern Europe, East and West USA, South America, Russia, India, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Australia, Chile, Peru, Dubai, and South Africa). You can adjust the territory manually.

Valve has also added a replays system, which allows you to review matches with a lot of statistics and data. For example, you can select any of the cameras and follow different characters. Replays are saved in Steam Cloud, so you can send them to other users and show them your game.
